14 Nov, 2008 Hollywood Celebrity to Use Altinkum Marina
Local Turkish Newspaper, Altinkum Voices, has reported that an "A List" Celebrity is "heading a high powered list of mega-yacht owners looking to moor up when the new $52 million Didim marina opens next May".
The marina manager, Murat Yaprak, has declined to reveal who the famous star is but has commented that the mystery actor is excited by the opening and had given his yacht to a Turkish company to re-fit.
The Marina, which is due for completion next year, will boast a variety of amenities that are said to include a yacht club, a fitness centre and a shopping mall. There are also reports that a ferryboat management facility will be established to provide cruises to the nearby Greek Islands of Kalimnos, Kos and Leros.
