Weather in Turkey

The weather in Turkey varies depending on which of Turkey's seven regions you're visiting. The Aegean and Mediterranean regions enjoy a typically Mediterranean climate with dry, hot summers and mild winters. Summer days provide up to twelve or thirteen hours of sunshine, and summer lasts from April to October.

The weather in Turkey's Marmara region is relatively mild, with a high of 27 degrees celsuis in the summer. The Black Sea region is generally warm, wet and humid much of the time.

Turkey's three inland regions; Central, Eastern and Southern Anatolia all experience a completely different climate to the rest of Turkey, with warm or hot summers, the occasional thunderstorms and winters are subject to utterly freezing temperatures which can reach -40 degress celsius.
