Jerez

Pronounced 'hereth', Jerez is sometimes known by it's full name; Jerez de la Frontera. The town has a population of around 185,000, and is situated around 15-20km from the Costa de la Luz.

Jerez is probably best known for lending it's name to the famous sherry, done so because the sherry grapes are grown in the regions chalky soil.
