Known as Correos, the postal service in Spain is generally very reliable. Most post offices in cities and major towns are open from Monday to Saturday; 8:30am to 9:30pm, otherwise the opening hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm.

Stamps for letter and postcards can be bought at most tabaconnists; a postcard or letter weighing 20g or less will cost €0.52 to Europe, or €0.77 to the rest of the world.

There's over 6,000 post offices in Spain, including the main offices in Barcelona and Madrid - which are open 24 hours.
