By Rail
To travel to Turkey by rail from the UK can be a very time consuming and expensive option. The most direct route is a three night, four day long journey, which will cost the best part of £400, even with the cheapest seats, and without sleepers on the overnight trains.

By Sea
To travel to Turkey by ferry, you're almost spoilt for choice if you're coming from Greece or Italy which can be a relatively short, relaxing journey, which won’t cost the earth.

By Car
To travel to Turkey by car can be, like travelling by rail, a long and arduous journey. However if you plan to make frequent stops it could well be very enjoyable. From the UK take the Eurostar to Paris, and head for Italy, as the route through Italy and Greece is probably far more favourable than travelling through some of the Eastern European countries.

It’s worth remembering that you must have six months left on your passport in order to travel to Turkey. Also that if you have not been to Turkey for 3 months you will have to pay the £10 Visa Fee on entrance.
