Kadikalesi, Turkey

Almost bursting with traditional Turkish charm, Kadikalesi is a picturesque fishing village located between Gumusluk and Turgutreis on Turkey's Aegean coast.

A resort aimed at families and couples wanting a relaxed, chilled out atmosphere, Kadikalesi has a collection of restaurants and cafe bars on the coast, however if visitors want a larger selection of bars and restaurants and some real energy and liveliness injected into their time away, there's a regular dolmus (mini bus) service to cosmopolitan Bodrum.

Kadikalesi centre has a few shops, tavernas and places to purchase a few souvenirs.

As always with the towns and villages along the peninsula, Kadikalesi is full of historical and cultural charm. There's an old Greek church - which is over a century old - which is in great condition, and visitors can read the engravings over the door, which are still visible today.
