Postal Service

The post service in Turkey is generally very efficient. Called a 'postane' or PTT, there's a post office in most towns and every city.

Many post offices have the facility to send faxes, make phone calls and use the internet.

Opening hours are usually:
Monday to Friday:
8:30am - 12:00pm
1:30pm - 5:00pm

Saturday:
8:30am - 12:00pm

In the larger cities it's unlikely the post office will close over lunch.
