Tourist Visa Requirements for TurkeyOn arrival into Turkey you will have to pay £10 per head, in order to obtain a tourist visa. This fee usually has to be paid with a £10 note; as you may not be offered change from a £20 note and may not be able to pay for two people with a £20 note.
A tourist visa for Turkey is multiple entry, meaning should you wish to, for example, visit Greece on a day trip, you will be able to re-enter Turkey on the same tourist visa.
This tourist visa is valid for three months, although when in the country you can extend the tourist visa for Turkey for an extra three months by applying through the Foreigners Department of the Security Division; which you will find in any provincial capital, but bear in mind this may take a few weeks to process.
A tourist visa does not permit an individual to take up work in Turkey.
Other Visa Requirements For Turkey
If you know before you go Turkey you’ll want to stay longer than six months, you need to apply for a long-stay visa from the Turkish Consulate. When you arrive in Turkey this will be converted into a residence permit, valid for one year, which is extendable on the condition you can prove you can fully support yourself in terms of earnings/savings etc.
